5 Days left

just 5 more day’s and I can go home for 5 weeks. From work offshore in the gulf of Mexico. 12 hour drive to get home in South Texas from south Louisiana, rest a day, go to the dentist. and a few odds and ends to take care of. I plan to be on the road riding by next Saturday I hope. Should be on the road for 2-1/2 to 3 weeks. Can’t wait to get home and pack up my baby to hit the road. Only thing I like about my job Is the time off. Other than that I have a really boring job.

My History of Bikes in a nutshell

My first Bike oh yeah!!! Was a 1974 Honda MR-50. Sitting under the Christmas tree just like this one. I was 8 years old. This is a picture from the internet. but mine was the exact color as this one.lv0116-227958_2@2x

After crashing and destroying a few of mom’s flower beds and plants. I was no longer allowed to do circles around the house. Then I began pissing off everyone’s parents within a few mile radius of my house. About 1/2 mile from my house I found some trails, and a home made track were the older kids rode. They welcomed me, and from then on every day after school. I was at the track tearing it up.

Soon I had graduated to a 125. And was getting pretty good so I thought. My Dad let me enter a few races. And I really sucked  at racing motocross. But never gave up riding for recreation. To this day at 52 yo. I have a 1998 KTM 620-SX left hand kick start.

My first Street bike was a hard tail chopper frame with a Triumph 650 engine on it. I was 17 then. Second Street bike was a Honda CB 750. 3rd Street bike was a Kawasaki KZ 1000. Then a Yamaha virago 750. Then a Suzuki GSXR 1100. Which later was transformed into a pro street drag bike. 6th Street bike was a 1981 Harley Davidson Wide Glide. 7th. Was a 1950 Harley Davidson pan/shovel chopper. And today I own a 2005 HD wide Glide, a 2006 HD super glide, and a 2017 Electra Glide. And a little pull start mini bike with app hanger bars just for fun. I get the multi vehicle discount. Planning on getting a BMW 1100GS soon and selling 2 Harley’s. That’s it in a nutshell. Now I will start blogging the rides I go on and take pictures to go along with them.¬† Wish I had pictures of the rides I have done in the past. Well actually I do have some. Like December 2017 I went on a 2000 + mile ride from my home in South Texas. To west Arizona and back. Maybe I can blog about a few of my past rides with pictures. But will mostly just be writing about rides I do in the future as I am doing them.

I am new to word press. and new to blogging. I believe I can get the hang of it though.

The Journey Begins, Again

Thanks for joining me! My Name is Don. I was born in 1966. I have been Riding Motorcycles most of my life, I work Offshore in the gulf of Mexico. Work 4 weeks then I usually have 4 weeks off to do what I want. I usually go on Motorcycle rides. So I decided to start Blogging my rides. They last anywhere from a few day’s to a few weeks, and occasionally months. If I would have started Blogging my rides years ago. I would have a hell of a collection of pictures and wild story’s. Better late than never I guess.
